Elasticsearch 8+ workbench

One focused place
for every cluster.

Kibi is the lightweight Elasticsearch back office for teams building search products—not dashboards. Move between clusters, inspect operations, run requests, and keep Elasticsearch in charge of access.

Kibi cluster overview

Built for search engineering

All the Elasticsearch surfaces you use. None of the product bloat you do not.

Kibi keeps everyday operational tools close: cluster health, nodes, indices, shards, document search, raw JSON, and a practical REST console.

01

Multi-cluster

Switch context, not applications.

Register the Elasticsearch endpoints your Kibi server can reach. Each person connects with their own Elasticsearch identity and can switch clusters without losing their flow.

02

Operate with clarity

See cluster shape at a glance.

Index and document counts, storage, masters, compatibility information, node pressure, and shard health sit where you need them.

03

Native Elasticsearch security

Keep identity where it belongs.

Use a native username and password or an Elasticsearch API key. Kibi passes that identity through; Elasticsearch still decides every permission.

04

Production guardrails

Useful when things are serious.

Mutating document and REST requests against production-labelled clusters require explicit confirmation.

Inspect and act

Understand shard placement before you change anything.

The shard map makes primaries, replicas, relocation, and unassigned copies visible by node. Drill into raw detail when an operational question needs more context.

Query with confidence

Readable documents or the exact response.

Search Query DSL results as expandable documents, switch to raw JSON for precise debugging, or use the REST console for direct Elasticsearch APIs.

REST without starting from blank

Recipes for the requests engineers actually run.

Browse searchable examples for health, allocation, mappings, node statistics, aggregations, document operations, and more. Save favourites and revisit browser-local history per cluster.

Installation

Run Kibi your way.

Kibi works locally against local or remote Elasticsearch clusters today. A single-container team deployment and desktop packages are the next distribution milestone.

● Available now

Developer setup

Run Kibi from source with a seeded Elasticsearch 8 development cluster.
